Global Change Manager for an IT outsource program

The objective of the program was to outsource the Telecommunications and Infrastructure services and simultaneously introduce a new IT operating model, best practice in service management based on ITIL and improved asset management. The scope includes 160 offices in 42 countries across all time zones.

Garth’s role was to lead and deliver the organisational change management strategy. This includes driving cultural change, stakeholder management, implementing scorecards, and delivering a multifaceted program of structured communications.

Lead consultant for the review and improvement of the financial governance processes

The project was to work with a multi-national blue chip organisation (ASX 100 subsidiary) on the transformation of the governance of the finance function.

Garth was directly responsible for providing the methodology and thought leadership to establish the wider program of change and operationally my role focused on risk reduction through revised roles and responsibilities, determining the process taxonomy, ownership and controls, defining a new meetings format and implementing financial control standards. The project matured to business as usual activity and was handed over to line management.

Lead consultant for the implementation of a New Operating Model for a new acquisition

The client had purchased two businesses with over 5000 staff. Garth’s role was to work with senior management to assist with definition of the new operating model.

Governance review for a telecommunications company

The purpose of the project was to improve the governance of the partner contracts and processes. The project involved modelling the relationship between the master services agreement and underlying processes in the National Operations Centre, the supporting technology and the service level agreements (SLAs).

The project deliverable was a far reaching report that recommended substantial changes to the Governance model.

Global Change Manager for a property services company

The objective of the project was to support the implementation of a shared services model supporting 17 countries.

Garth role was to model the business architecture to support benchmarking by division, rationalised reporting, Service Level Agreements and improved knowledge management.

Other projects

To design, develop and implement a training program for managed services technicians at a national Telecommunications company.

The objective of the training was to move the technicians from delivering narrow technical projects to business solutions.

To work across multiple countries to implement financial reporting using the BusinessObjects toolset across the General Ledger and Sub Ledgers for a leading Aviation company.
